Equipment

The GEAMCC adopts the same principles for adventure riding as for mountaineering endorsing the tried and tested principles of mulitiple lightweight layers, the regular consumption of high energy foods and the ability to take shelter from the elements and generate warmth in order to survive to ride longer and harder - sort out your personal admininistration before you ride to maximise your potential!

Please ensure you carry the minimum equipment listed below as applicable to the ride - no kit, no ride!

Please ensure your exhaust system is environmentally friendly and your bike has a valid tax disc, insurance, and MOT certificate!

Steve's top tip: Use a bin liner as an outer waterproof sock in the winter to prevent the ingress of water.  Fold the bag over the rim of the boot and tape in place, ensure waterproof trousers are on the outside of the boot; beats expensive Goretex socks every time (in the winter only)!
